How Did TIGIT Start?

When I was a young mother with two small children, I was desperate to know God and hear His voice, but who has time to sit and read the Bible for hours a day when you’re busy managing little ones? I wanted to find the “Bible in songs”—a simple brainstorm where I could just loop the same scripture song all day until it was memorized, and then move to the next passage.

So, I went to the local Bible bookstore to find them. When I asked the clerk to direct me to the “Bible in Song CDs,” she looked at me as though it was the most outrageous request she had ever heard and blasted out, “No! There is no such thing!”

Despondency hit hard. But El Roi—the God who sees me—answered soon enough. Shortly afterward, He miraculously called little ol’ me and my husband to fulfill this unusual request. Back in 1988, taking a step of faith to put long passages and entire books of the Bible to song with “near to no” formal music training was almost humorous. Yep, God calls on the weak so that He receives the glory, and I am living testimony of that!

30 Years of God’s Faithfulness

I could write a novel filled with miraculous details from the past 30 years of developing TIGIT. But right now, it’s more important for you to hear directly from God by listening to the songs rather than reading my story. The sooner you get into the Spirit and love hearing His words all day, the sooner you will be blessed with your own miraculous story.

TIGIT is all about relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Tune into Them. As you go about the business of life, let the Spirit shed light on your path so you can learn the truth and gain wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Not only will you grow closer to the Lord, but your family and friends listening alongside you will too. Without much effort, you’ll be spreading the Gospel! Pass TIGIT on to those you love most and become like-minded as we are called out of the darkness and into His marvelous light. Bear much fruit, find peace, and know the truth so you can share it.

Which Bible Version is TIGIT?

You might wonder what Bible translation we use:

• The Early Acoustic Works Albums (1–4): These feature the green crown and capture various scriptures from the NASB.
• The Suno Era: When we started using Suno to write music, we needed a version with no copyright. For contemporary music, we chose the World English Bible (WEB), which has no copyright. In fact, The Revelation Experience lyrics are almost 100% word-for-word from the WEB Bible.
